Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions (Wood E&IS) will be completing numerous biophysical field Survey and environmental monitoring programs throughout the 2020-2021 season in support of the 2021 NGTL System Expansion Project. Wood is looking for 2 to 6 local field assistants to join the field teams and expand their interest and experience in environmental work. The field work area will be from Grande Prairie to Rocky Mountain House. Field assistants will be fully integrated into Wood’s field teams and will travel with the team working at the various survey locations along the Project.
Work would be commencing May 2020 and may continue through to winter of 2021. Field surveys and construction monitoring are typically one to two-week shifts with successful candidates having the opportunity to potentially work on several surveys or monitoring programs. Field surveys and monitoring programs will include work in archaeology, aquatics and wildlife. Compensation will be based on experience and hiring arrangements. Wood is willing to consider agreements with Indigenous Environmental Consulting or Indigenous Business entities in filling these roles.
